Experience

Fernando Manzanedo has been Partner of the firm’s Litigation, Insolvency & Arbitration Practice since 2017.

He is a Government Lawyer on leave of absence. He has extensive experience in civil, commercial and contentious-administrative proceedings. He also acts before the various Arbitration Courts (ICC, CIMA, Spanish Court of Arbitration, the Court of Arbitration of Madrid, etc.). He focuses his legal practice on complex claims in the areas of finance, infrastructure, construction and energy.

From 2012 to 2017 he held the position of Corporate Director of the legal department of Bankia. He also headed Bankia’s “Asesoría Jurídica de Participadas” (Affiliates Legal Advisory Service).

From 2006 to 2010 he was General Secretary and Secretary to the Board of Directors of the Aldesa Group, a construction group engaged in the development of public infrastructure and buildings, with interests in the industrial, energy and concessions sector.

As Government Lawyer he was assigned to the Spanish Central High Court (Audiencia Nacional). He has also been Technical General Secretary of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology (2000-2002) and the Spanish Interior Ministry (2002-2004) and director in various companies (Enresa, Cedeti and Siep).

Teaching

Fernando has given various courses on government organisation, procedure and procurement, contentious-administrative proceedings and immigration, etc., organised by the Spanish Ministry of Justice, the Spanish Interior Ministry and the Spanish Ministry of Public Administrations (1994-2000).
