Diego Gabarain Beristain is Senior Associate in the Banking and Finance Practice of the Madrid office. He joined the firm in 2016 from PwC Tax & Legal Services.
His legal practice is focused on providing legal advice to lenders, sponsors and borrowers in all kinds of financial transactions, where he has acquired extensive experience in the financing of acquisitions (both assets–production centres, representative buildings, etc.- and companies -LBOs and MBOs-), the financing of projects (wind and solar power facilities, port infrastructure, etc.), structured and multijurisdictional finance, refinancing and debt restructuring (both in pre-insolvency and insolvency scenarios) and transactions for the sale of non-strategic assets of credit institutions (processes for the sale of portfolios of secured and unsecured NPLs and REO portfolios).
