Pablo is Of Counsel at Ramón y Cajal Abogados. He specialises in competition law in Spain and in the EU and in the control of foreign investments in Spain.

In the area of competition law, he regularly advises on merger control and anticompetitive practices, both within the context of administrative proceedings before the competition authorities and in legal proceedings. He also carries out ex ante evaluations of potentially anticompetitive practices and draws up compliance programmes for companies.

His area of expertise covers a wide range of sectors such as banking, retail distribution, consumer goods, real estate, audiovisual media, telecommunications and pharmaceuticals.

Before joining Ramón y Cajal Abogados, Pablo worked in the Competition Practice of the Madrid office of the law firm Clifford Chance and was a legal secondee at the Samsung Europe office in London. 

Education

  • LL.M in EU Competition Law and Intellectual Property from the Universidad de Lieja.
  • MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe.
  • Degree in Law and Business Administration and Management from the Universidad de Valladolid.

Teaching

Pablo is Associate Professor in Commercial Law at the Universidad de Valladolid and occasionally gives classes in Competition Law at the Universidad Carlos III, the Madrid Bar Association and the AFI Escuela de Finanzas.
